School Halloween

We were invited to Mason's school for their Halloween party this week. It was fun to see them show off their classroom and all that they've been working on. The kids wore their costumes, performed a couple of songs for us, and did a few craft projects. I think everyone had a great time. I know that Maddon did not want to leave!

Happy 5th Birthday Mason!

Our baby boy turned five this weekend! I have no idea where the time is going! He is such an amazing little boy who is growing up to be so independent. He is the best big brother that Maddon could ask for and is great at helping out kids at school who need a friend! He is a great helper, overall, and is becoming even more independent (which is kind of scary at times). He LOVES Star Wars and Legos and playing anything "pretend." He has a great imagination and does a good job of incorporating Maddon into his playtime. He's starting to enjoy art more and is looking forward to kindergarten next year.

He is currently 44.5 inches tall (82 %tile) and weighs 45 lbs (78 %tile).

To celebrate his birthday weekend we went to Timber Ridge for the weekend. The boys had a great time having everyone there! Mason got a sweet welcome birthday package and didn't waste anytime using his free arcade money. He spent plenty of time swimming, playing games, and enjoying the resort activities. It was all topped off by a stop at Rainforest Cafe on our way home!

Pumpkin Farm

This past weekend we headed out to pick our pumpkins for this year. Maddon was able to run around this year so that made things a little more interesting! The weather was beautiful and the kids had a great time. We went on a hayride, played in the corn pits, on the hay bales, and more. We're looking forward to carving our pumpkins and doing it all again next year!

Mason's "Lego Star Wars" Party

This year Mason was very particular about his party theme. He wanted "Lego Star Wars." He only wanted certain colors included in the decorations and even had a few things to say about the guest list!  With a lot of input from my little man, I think we pulled off the party that he envisioned. He got lots of presents and ended the day a happy boy! Thank you to all that came to celebrate his special day!

Apple Picking

Last year we never got around to going apple picking so we promised Mason that we would go this year. We tried a new orchard this year, Jonamac Orchard, and the kids had a great time. There were lots of activities for Mason to do and lots of apples to sample. It was a nice size orchard, but not so overwhelming that the kids were hard to keep track of. This is definitely one to consider again next year!

Maddon's First Haircut

The time finally came to give Maddon his first haircut. He doesn't have nearly as much hair as Mason did, but the back was getting quite long. As much as I didn't wanna chop off those little blonde curls, it was getting a bit out of control. So...we paid a visit to Auntie Alex to do the honors! He did a pretty good job sitting. He's a pretty squirmy guy so I was expecting disaster, but he surprised me!
