Bike Night at Safety Town

Last night was one of the bike nights at Safety Town. Mason attended their camp a couple weeks ago and loved it so we decided to check out bike night. It was a really neat experience. The kids got to bike the town while volunteers changed the stoplights and made sure the kids obeyed the rules of the road. The police even made an appearance to issue "tickets" to safe riders.

Maddon's First Movie

We have been waiting for Finding Dory to come out to finally take Maddon to his first theater movie. He loves Nemo and Dory so we figured he'd be so excited to go. He loved having his own popcorn and Icee and watching the movie on the big screen. It was a cute movie and he did a pretty good job in the theater!

Happy Father's Day

We spent Father's Day swimming at Papa Gene's. It was a beautiful day for cooling off in the pool after a yummy lunch. We didn't get many pictures swimming, but here are some from the boys Father's Day photo shoot.

This picture was totally not planned. Devin and Mason were posing when Maddon ran in to give Devin a hug. Turned out adorable!

Weekend in Indy/Mini Staycation

This past week we took a few days off to head to Indianapolis for the weekend and then have some fun around home. Mason loves the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and couldn't wait to go and show his brother everything they have to do there. That, of course, was our first stop!

More dinos!
Next, we explored the "choo choo" section (Maddon was just a little excited)

Maddon loved the Fireworks of Glass (Chihuly) exhibit

Pirates and Princesses exhibit!

 Mason found a treehouse
After the museum it was time for a little R & R at the hotel.
Once we had dinner we took a walk to a neat little ice cream place, Subzero, where they make your ice cream to order and freeze it with liquid nitrogen. The science nerd in me loved this (and the decor). The ice cream was tasty too, although Mason was too exhausted to enjoy it!

Our ice cream is being made in there!
I had to laugh at their "pi" case

The next day was a hot one! Daddy and Maddon took off to the Indiana State Museum so Mason and I went paddle boating! We had a blast and it was much cooler on the water!

The next day was another hot one, but we had tickets to an Indianapolis Indians baseball game! It was also PBS Kids day at the park so there were character appearances too!

That night one of the buildings downtown was lit up in honor of the tragedy in Orlando.
Our last day in Indy was spent at the Indianapolis zoo before we headed home. The boys loved the zoo, all the rides they had, and the Lego animal exhibit. Everyone had a blast and the boys both took a nice nap on the way home.

We couldn't leave without seeing the art with Lego bricks exhibit. The gardens had animal statues made of Legos. I'm not sure who was more excited, Mason or me.

After some rest, we made a stop on the way home at the Albanese Candy Factory. The boys were literally two kids in a candy store. They thought it was awesome getting to choose from so many varieties!

Our first stay cation day was spent at Legoland. Maddon actually really enjoyed it too. He played while Mason got a chance to attend a Master Builders class with Daddy.

We spent an additional day at Dragonfly Landing. The boys had so much fun running around and staying cool. Both made some new friends there too!
