Merry Christmas

Mason's first Christmas was a busy one! We started out by spending Christmas Eve at Devin's parents' house in Indiana. This was also Mason's first trip to Grandma & Grandpa Miller's. He did pretty well considering it was a long car trip and he's never slept away from home before. He got to see all the special decorations that Grandma had out for him as well as things from Daddy's childhood that he'll get to play with one day. He even saw his reading area already stocked with books. We ended the trip with presents, although Mason slept through them all!

We spent Christmas morning at home, just the three of us. Mason was both awake and happy so we had a good time!

So tired from opening presents

After opening gifts at home we headed to the Zdenek family Christmas. We had dinner and opened more presents. Mason was awake most of the time, but not in the best mood. Apparently we weren't supposed to open gifts when he was hungry!

So Many Santas

Mason got his first Santa experience early on in November. He's seen three more Santas since then. Although it may be difficult to explain this once he's older, it's crazy to see how much he's grown since then.

One Month

Yesterday Mason had his one month doctor visit. He continues to grow normally and is getting good at holding his head up. He loves to cuddle and he "talks" to us more and more everyday. The doctor suspected that he may have some reflux problems so we've made a few changes to his routine. We're going to start supplementing his breast milk with soy formula and we'll add rice cereal to his feedings. We've also elevated his head in the crib and bassinet and he'll now sleep on his tummy instead of his back. He loves being on his tummy to sleep and this change seems to eliminate the need to swaddle him. We'll see how it goes!

He now weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces, is 22 1/4 inches long, and has a head circumference of 15 1/4.
