Kohl's Children's Museum

As a DCM member we also get free admission to a few other area children museums. We decided to check out Kohl's and I think it quickly became a favorite of the boys. They have a large water play area, a Whole Foods market, and a Potbelly-like restaurant area. The boys also enjoyed the vet area as well as the China exhibit. There were even more exhibits and fun things to do. We can't wait to come back in warmer weather to check out the outdoor space!

Mason enjoyed making crafts in China. He made a flower/card for his teacher as well as a lantern.

Another Lost Tooth

He has lost another one! I'm pretty sure the tooth fairy is going to go broke soon!

Lego Batman

We recently attended a Legoland Annual Passholder event celebrating the new Lego Batman movie. The kids got to meet Lego Batman and participate in themed events. It was also a nice change to enjoy the place with less crowds since the event was only open to a limited number of pass holders. The boys were so excited to be going!

Disney on Ice

Every year for Christmas we buy the boys a gift that is something that we can do as a family, as opposed to a material object. This year we went with Disney on Ice tickets again. Both kids were stoked to see the characters from Finding Dory included in the show and they each even took one home! It was a great show, as always, and everyone had a blast!

No More Crib

Well...the time has come to move Maddon out of his crib. Surprisingly, he made it longer than Mason did. He started to attempt to escape though, so we moved him into the toddler bed. He seems excited about the change so we'll see how it goes!

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve this year was a busy one. We were both off this year, because it fell on a Saturday, so we tried out three different kids countdowns in the area. Our first stop was the Bubble Bash at the DuPage Children's Museum. The kids had fun playing and participating in themed activities. They had cookie decorating, a few different crafts, and music playing. Maddon loved the bubble machines! Then at noon there was a countdown with mini beach ball drop!

Our second stop was the NYE celebration at Legoland. That place is always a hit with our kids so add a balloon drop and you've got yourself a celebration!

Our last stop was the NYE celebration at Rainforest Cafe. The kids got treat bags, dinner off of a special buffet, and a cider toast. There was also a balloon drop there! Mason even got to meet Cha-Cha!
