Maddon's Baptism

This past weekend we celebrated Maddon's baptism. Auntie Randa came up from Florida for the celebration and spent a night with us. Mason couldn't wait to spend time with her and asked that we all go to Chuck E Cheese's. I think that everyone had a good time there! Poor Maddon, however, was not thrilled that we wouldn't share our pizza with him! The baptism went well. The boys did a good job in church and enjoyed having our friends and family there to celebrate. A special thanks to Auntie Alex and Uncle Rob for serving as Maddon's Godparents.

Making his pitiful "I want pizza" face!

Spring Tea

Yesterday, Mason had his Spring Tea at school. It was such a fun morning. The kids sang us songs and then we had snacks. The kids even made us cucumber sandwiches! After our snacks they had an opportunity to decorate cookies and show us around their class. It was nice to see all the fun things that Mason has been doing at school!

Weekend With Mr. Bear

This past weekend we had Mr. Bear as our guest. Mr. Bear is a teddy bear that Mason's preschool class shares. They all take turns bringing him home and keeping a journal of what he did with the kids. Mason was so excited to show Mr. Bear around!

Mason didn't want to take Mr. Bear to Miss Joyce's, so Mommy took him to work and showed him around.

He borrowed Mason's carseat for the ride to Miss Joyce's

Mr. Bear helped Mason make beaded necklaces and bracelets for everybody. Mr. Bear even got his own bracelet!

Five Months

Our little guy is already five months old. He is such a happy baby who really only fusses when tired or hungry. He is doing a great job with his solids and is already eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. He really seems to enjoy when we make fruit and veggie combinations. He's been doing a great job learning to sit and can do so, briefly, unassisted. He enjoys playing with his toys (especially when his brother plays with him), and his feet too! Maddon didn't have a doctor's appointment this month, but seems to be about 15 lbs and close to 27 inches long.

He loves dinner time!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

This year Grandma Monica turned 60! To celebrate, we planned a surprise party at Two Brothers Roundhouse. We told her that we were going to a brunch there that we were given free passes to. When she arrived, we surprised her with the party!

The cake (the bakery did a great job of matching the invitation design)!

The best picture we have of her arrival!

It was so nice to see friends and family that we haven't seen in awhile. Maddon got to meet a lot of them for the very first time! He had fun hanging out with everybody, especially my cousins' daughters. They thought he was fun to play with and he gladly soaked up all of their attention!

Disney on Ice

Every year for Christmas we buy the boys a gift that it something that can be done as a family (rather than a toy, etc.). This past year we purchased tickets to see Frozen on Ice. Since we weren't sure how entertained he'd be, we left Maddon with Grandma and the three of us went to the show. It was really cute and we had front row seats so our view was amazing! Mason had a great time!

Olaf snow cone, a must have!

Four Months

At four months, Maddon has really become entertaining. He smiles constantly and has begun to giggle and squeal! He grabs anything he can get his hands on (and subsequently puts it in his mouth) and is especially in love with his feet! He loves playing with toys and is getting so strong! We can really start to see the bond between the two boys. Maddon gets so happy when his brother is around and Mason has been doing a great job of helping us take care of "bro bro." It's really nice to see them playing together already. He did have a doctor visit this month and is doing great. He continues to be long and skinny, but the doctor was pleased with his growth patterns. We got the green light to start solids so that's been a fun addition to his day.
He now weighs 14 pounds 1 ounce (18th %tile), is 26.25 inches long (89th %tile), and has a head circumference of 16.25.
